A Year in Review ~ 2024

Last year was an interesting one for me in regards to my writing. On the one hand, I didn't get as far into book 2 as I'd hoped, but on the other hand, I surpassed my writing time from 2023 by over sixty hours!

Over the course of the year, I completed a second draft of book 3, did multiple revisions and a light edit of book 2, and began the cover art process.

In total, I spent 796.5 hours pursuing my writing career and wrote over 180,000 words! The time breakdown is (approximately) as follows:

• 468 hours working on book 2

• 174 hours working on book 3

• 154 hours marketing, writing newsletters, beta reading for fellow authors, and miscellaneous

  
  

I had hoped to hit 800 hours in 2024, and if I'd realized how close I was to reaching this goal, I would have pushed a little harder in December! Still, I'm confident I'll be able to achieve that goal this year instead.
